COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Volleyball (19-4, 10-1 SEC) bounced back on Sunday afternoon after suffering its first loss of the Southeastern Conference season this past Wednesday. The Tigers earned a convincing 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-19) sweep over Mississippi State, securing their 10th victory in conference action this season. Additionally, todays win marked head coach Wayne Kreklows 250th all-time triumph at Mizzou.Redshirt junior Melanie Crow (Wildwood, Mo.) returned against the Bulldogs after missing the past two matches. Crow delivered a team high 13 kills with five digs and four total blocks to make her presence known. The Tiger outside hitter has now led Mizzou in single match kills a team-best 15 times this year.Senior Carly Kan (Honolulu) recorded 12 kills on .308 hitting, marking her fifth consecutive match in SEC play with double-digit strikes.Despite only three sets played Sunday, Mizzou posted 15.0 total blocks against Mississippi State. The Tigers have recorded 10-plus total blocks in six of their past eight matches. Sophomore Alyssa Munlyn (Suwanee, Ga.) led the way on defense with a season high 10 total blocks (three solo).
